...............................................

Thank you, Anon. I needed our short exchange this morning. It very much cheered me up. So for you, though you probably won't see it and I won't know if you do anyway, my favorite Wordsworth:

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host, of golden daffodils
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay
Ten thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee
A poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company
I gazed - and gazed - but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

I love it. I don't know why, I just have since I was maybe thirteen, or thereabouts. So I might do this once in a while, post something that inspires me or puts a smile on my face. Something positive. Thanks again, Anon.

Good afternoon WYWH! Do you mind if I call you Wish? That's just easier to type for some reason.

You may call me Wendy if you wish, Wish!

I simply wanted to come to your place and deliver a proper 'welcome to the blogbelieve neighborhood'.

I also read your last post and wanted to encourage you to "hang in there" and "don't give up".

You're correct. Addiction is for a lifetime. The struggle is a daily one ~ sometimes an hourly one and the war, itself, rages for a lifetime.

I've watched too many friends struggle with themselves, their demons. Some keep winning their daily battles... some have lost war...

I'm glad to know you have friends who can help you through your struggle. Don't ever feel you'll let them down if you admit to them you "fell off the wagon".

No real friend would feel that way. They'll only feel 'let down' if they think you couldn't turn to them in a time of need ~ when the struggle was too difficult to go it alone. Talk to your friends and don't be afraid to ask for help.

I'm so sorry this turned into a "speech"!

*blushes and excuses herself now*

Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~

Shucks! I forgot something! (I do that a lot, you'll see if you haven't already.)

I enjoyed your quotes this morning too and wanted to leave this one as a 'housewarming' gift:

~~~"A loveless world is a dead world, and always there comes an hour when one is weary of prisons, of one’s work, and of devotion to duty, and all one craves for is a loved face, the warmth and wonder of a loving heart."~~~
Lol, okay Wendy. I will call you Wendy and you can call me Wish. Everything gets shortened at some point, and WYWH seems more like a song title (which it is, but you know what I mean, I'm sure).
Thanks hun, I'm not giving up. Feeling postitive today, which is nice :). I always hated the 'pull yourself together' mentality, even before I'd had it directed at me some time ago. Not that easy. When someone asks I usually equate it to someone dying. It's always on your mind.
Speeches are love, lol, it's all good. And I do forget that sometimes-asking for help-the reminder was nice.
I no doubt deserved my enemies, but I don't believe I deserved my friends.
Wish, I've read very little of Walt Whitman's work, but I like that quote.
